M.I.A.

The tooth fairy is missing in action. Madisyn lost her tooth 3 nights ago, the first night I cut the tooth fairy a little slack but after the third night I am disgusted with her!! What kind of tooth fairy do my kids have? Each morning I have to come up with some reason why the tooth fairy didn't come: "Well maybe the tooth fairy is confused as to which pillow to leave it under because of the frequent switching of beds? Well that tooth was mostly filling, maybe she is getting picky these day? Well maybe it was just a really busy night there is only one tooth fairy right?" Good grief I'm running out of excuses!!! You'd think seeing the sheer disappointment on this child's face every morning that the tooth fairy would just remember and I not fall asleep while waiting for all of her many children to fall asleep so she can do her job. ( the tooth fairy does have some pretty long days!!!) So finally I talked to the tooth fairy's husband and he also works in the middle of the night and said he would be happy to call and remind the "tooth fairy" tonight after all the kids are fast asleep. So.... we shall see.

Good thing our Tooth Fairy is so good at remembering because I wouldn't be. For one it's a good thing I am not the Tooth Fairy, because I can't reach the top bunk to get under Kaydree's pillow!;-)

OMG! I think we have the same tooth fairy. Our sucks even worse than that most of the time. She ends up leaving a little extra for her tardiness. Maybe we should put those late working tooth fairy husbands in charge from now on.

Our tooth fairy is sick a lot or has a broken wing, sometimes for weeks at a time.

I'm glad to hear that the Tooth Fairy doesn't just do it to us. One time she finally visited my parent's house and left quite a bit there with a note saying she forgot where Lexi lived. She must work long, hard hours, and we probably shouldn't be to hard on her. Good luck Maddy!

We have had to make a phone call every now and again! She is such a slacker!

Hi guys,
Sorry to hear such sad stories about the tooth fairy. She has been pretty good with us. Poor Blake just had to keep reminding me to get his last two teeth out of my purse as those were the ones that he lost while at Grandma Hobbs House. Well maybe as this house gets more kids losing teeth she will find it more difficult to remember who lost the tooth.

Here is a little story about tooth fairies for those who have not already hears. When Corey was young he and his older sister Tausha liked to play jokes on their younger sister Lori. They would tell her that she could fool the tooth fairy by putting a piece of tightly rolled toilet paper, (the size of a tooth) under her pillow. Lori would tell Tausha and Corey after she had put the fake tooth under her pillow, and night after night, they would get into her piggy bank and pull out some of her own money and replace that for the fake TP tooth. This worked for quite a while, until she decided not to tell her pranksters that she had put the fake tooth under her pillow. She was pretty upset when she finally found that the tooth fairy had learned of her mischeviousness and no longer fell for her fake teeth.

I guess the pranks go both ways. Eventually it will catch up to you.

Well we hope all is well at the Hobbs home and hope to see you soon.

We haven't had a visit from the tooth fairy yet in our home. Thanks for letting me know that the tooth fairy isn't always reliable. It will be easier on Kathryn when she finally does lose a tooth to know that other have had to wait days for the tooth fairy's arrival, just in case it happens to her. It would devistate her!
