Why so serious?

 

 

They other night Mason was sitting in his chair at dinner and says to me, " Mom, I think I am sick again." Turns out he wasn't sick... just super tired and falling asleep in his chair.

Volleyball

 

Madisyn is playing volleyball for two different leagues right now. It has been so fun to watch her talent grow, to see her get more comfortable on the court and to see her master her over hand serve. She is lucky enough to have all of her really good friends playing along side of her.

 The girls won the vote to have their team name be the "Greasers"...the coach let out a chuckle when the girls threw that name out there, the girls are all reading "The Outsiders" in school right now and the girls are all totally obsessed with the book right now.

Dear Madisyn

Happy 14th birthday! Your dad and I went into a freak out mode the other night, we couldn't believe we have another daughter getting so old! You get to start going to the church dances, you'll be starting seminary in the Fall and in this crazy state of Nebraska you can get your school drivers learning permit...ummmm scary!! You are getting more beautiful by the day and continue to make me proud daily. You have such a great work ethic, a heart of gold, the most sweetest nature about you, the funniest laugh, you are getting to be a great shopping partner, you're reliable, kind, loving, a great volleyball player and getting to be an amazing pianist, and a joy to be around!(most days haha) I love you bunches and bunches! Love, Mom.

Look who's a Sunbeam!

My baby is growing up...Our nursery days are a thing of the past. Mason is a Sunbeam now.(sigh) What kills me is that we barely got him to go to nursery without us about a month ago... so I kinda feel like he is too little to go to the big kid class. He did great and didn't have any tears when we left him.... Now me on the other hand.. is a different story.  

Christmas break

Over our Christmas break Laci, Ashley and Jake(Ashley's boyfriend) came out for a visit. We had a great time doing what we do best...shopping, shopping and more shopping, sprucing up my kitchen with some new fun colors like coral, yellow and a little turquoise, spray painting old lamps and decorations with some amazing colors, eating way too much food, catching Ashley, Laci and Jake up on "The Walking Dead", taking fun pictures with the kids, playing games and making yummy treats. It was so fun having two of my favorite women here!!
