These are the good times!

I am fully aware that my kids are growing up before my eyes and that before long they'll all probably be two states away from me and I won't be able to see them everyday and kiss their cute little faces.

 

 So when I get requests from Hannah to come and have lunch with her, you better believe I jump on those opportunities. I know before long those requests will stop because it is no longer "cool" to have your mom come and have lunch with you.... but for now I am thankful she still thinks it's "cool!"

Preschool

My baby started preschool. The first day he cried for an hour... but it was after I left so I didn't know till I picked him up that he was sad. The second day he was crying when I dropped him off and it broke my heart I was tearing up when I was telling him I'd be back soon.

 

We are a week and a half in and I am happy to report that there are no more tears for him or his momma. This is a new stage in life for me, I have always had a little person home with me during the days for 19 years...19 years! I am not going to lie though it is nice to have 3 whole hours, 4 days a week by myself.

Visit from the besties

My best friends from junior high school came to Omaha to visit me! It was so nice to have three whole days to visit.

After I picked them up from the airport we went to Old Market and stayed the night at the Magnolia. We spent our days and night walking to restaurants sitting and talking, laying by the pool, shopping and watching movies. It was HEAVENLY!!!! I am so thankful for their visit out here and  I can hardly wait for our next girls trip to Seattle next summer!

Soccer

 Hannah is taking soccer with her best friend Zoey. My hopes are that it will help Hannah to not be so shy and timid. So far so good, Hannah is loving it!

Grandpa and Grandma Hobbs visit

Grandpa and Grandma came out for a visit. We didn't do a whole lot of anything but the things that we did do were fun! We went to the Durham Museum , went out for pizza after the girls had their 1st day of school, shopping trips to get ready for school, movie nights, a drive out to Fremont lake and a lot of eating and just enjoying each others company.

First day of school

School is back in session and as much as I always dread this day, I am quickly reminded how nice it is to get back to a daily schedule.

Little miss Hannah started 2nd grade, Emily 6th and Madisyn 9th.

Dear Emily,

The big 11!! Where oh where are the years going? Emily it is so fun to watch you grow into this beautiful girl on the inside and out! You are our little spit fire but have a heart of gold. I am so proud of how respectful you are, I love your witty personality you give your dad and I quite the chuckle. You are a mini me of your father with your love of history and are always sharing random facts. I love that you are starting to have a love for books and shopping!  My favorite things about you are your personality, smile, big blue eyes, friendliness, loyalty, the example you are to your siblings, wittiness and your jokes! Happy Birthday Em!
