Christmas Rectial

An early Christmas

We celebrated Christmas today because we are flying out to Utah on Thursday. The kids got to open up their gifts from Mike and I and Santa will bring his on Christmas.

The kids loved having an early Christmas!

Holiday Baking

Before we left for Utah we managed to squeeze in a few traditions. Sugar cookies are a must!!

Hannah and Mason were the only helpers I had this year with the tree( plus Mike, he spent hours on the lights) the other two were busy doing other things and weren't too interested.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ashley was able to come home for a week!

We spent Thanksgiving day with the Williams, we are so thankful to the Williams for always inviting us to their feast! 

While Ashley was here we did a whole lot of shopping, went to the movies, went the gingerbread display( Mason fell asleep in the car on the ride over and we tried to wake him up several times to know avail and when he saw the pictures of us at the display he said, " Hey, I wanted to go there! No fair!" Then I showed him the picture of him sleeping in his dad's arms and that followed with him saying,"You guys are jerks!"), watching movies, going out for lunch and dinner, and just spending quality time together! It was heavenly!!

Too cold!

On this cold 10 degree morning, the first thing Mason said when he got in the car after preschool was, "Mom, will you make me some hot cocoa and turn on the fire and then I'll lay on the couch and sleep."

Ladies retreat

Katy and I went to her parents house in South Dakota for the weekend. We had a great time relaxing, making jam, puzzling, shopping online, watching movies, talking and eating yummy food.

It was so nice to get away and to take a weekend just to relax.

Karaoke and Trunk-or-Treating

The kids lucked out and had three different Trunk-or-Treating that they went to over a weeks time. One at the church, the school and after Madisyn's Halloween choir concert. 

Mike and I stole the kids Halloween costumes and went to our annual karaoke with our friends. Mike got up and sang a little Bon Jovi, he did great!

Pumpkins

Mason had no desire to gut his pumpkin....NO desire. I was at least going to get a picture of him with his carved pumpkin but I failed at that, so here are the girls... There's always next year.
