At church on Sunday I was reminded why I blog, this month our ward is focusing on family history and on Sunday we talked about the importance of journaling. Now lets be honest I am not good at journaling, looking back at all of my journals or dairies I have countless entries of promises never to go 6 months or a year before I write again... however I am good at blogging of recording our families day to day lives and keeping our families that live a 1000 miles away up-to-date on our latest happenings. At times I think... do people really care how Hannah's class party went, or how Madisyn is doing in piano, or what Mason's latest and greatest sentence is? But I was reminded on Sunday that I care, my children will care, their children's children will care, and so on. I love blogging and I am pretty religious at doing it. I am thankful that my children will have record of how we lived our daily lives, only sadness is that I didn't have the convenience of blogging 17 year ago.

It really is a good way to keep a record of your family history. I also often wonder if people really care about the stuff I write, but I know I'll love looking back on it in the future.
Shantel, I haven't been blogging, so I am sorry I haven't been on to see your blog. I just completed my fourth blog book, so I am ready to get started again, and reading this post, is great motivation! I CARE about everything your family is doing, although it does make me sad to see you guys and the kiddos getting so big. Oh how we miss you all!!!!
Oops. I am at my parents house. This is Kristen.
