Madisyn carved a witch, Emily a vampire pumpkin, Hannah a kitty, and Mason the Batman symbol.

October Happenings

I can't believe that the month of October will be over in a couple of days. I also can't believe my lack of blogging either. I have quite a bit of pictures from the month but all the pictures are ones that I've taking with my phone...and I haven't quite figured out how to get them to my computer, haha.

 This month has been filled with trunk or treating, a Halloween dance(which Madi and her friend Jessica won best costume for their Mario and Luigi costume) pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, The Walking Dead, candy corns, soups, warmer clothes, a Saturday showing of Hotel Transylvania( which Mason was not impressed with..way to scary for his liking haha), Halloween karaoke, putting up Fall decor and cooler weather.

 Hannah has been on the countdown to Halloween for two weeks she was so excited this morning when I told her," Only two more days till Halloween!"

Today in sacrament some of the young men in the ward were bearing their testimonies, after the third boy sat down Mason says to Mike in his cute little three year old voice, " Can I do that?" Aww, melted my heart.. Man, I LOVE that little boy.

Dear Mason,

My little boy is getting big too fast! Having you around has been so fun Buddy, I love to watch you play with all your cars, action figure guys, guns, tools, rocks, etc, etc.. You are ALL boy and I love it! You love your daddy so much, it is so cute, I am so happy for both of you that you have your relationship. Some of my favorite things about you are: your HUGS, sense of humor, expressions, silliness, smooth fighting moves, stories, laugh, beautiful eyes, energy, smile, creativity and your KISSES. Your vocabulary has exploded lately and it is so fun to hear all of your new words.

You are such a blessing to our family Mason, you melt our hearts daily, you are loved so much!

Some of your favorite things right now are:  Daddy, Sponge Bob, watching your dad play Street Fighter, play fighting, iPhones or i pod's, DS, Iron man, Hannah, ice cream and CHOCOLATE milk.
We celebrated your 3rd birthday at the "Famous" Chuck E Cheese and then came home and had cake and ice cream.

Front Page

Madisyn made the front page on the Omaha World Herald. We teased her about being the poster child for "Organizational failings" and she quickly replied, "1st of all that was the testing scores for last years 8th graders, 2nd, I always score in the" Exceeds grade level".. thank you very much!"

Being on the front page of the newspaper doesn't happen everyday.. Very cool, if I must say so myself!
